    Essentially, when I flip a light on or off in the Wink app, it wants to talk to api. Seems like the app would have the same problem though.

    In the same way as Samsung SmartThings, among others, products like connected light bulbs, thermostats, appliances, and locks can be paired with the Wink hub.

    Have you tried it while on cellular data instead or via Alexa if you have one?

    I set about investigating it, and what I have found is that in my case this delay seems to be due to to cloud processing. If it can't get a response from the server the app does nothing with my command. Mine is the same. So it is possible that its just an API issue?

    If I open the Wink App and toggle the light, the lag isn't as bad, so I If it is trying to use local control that will slow things down because that call.

    We are getting report of slow response times on the Wink API and are investigating.

    Using the Android version. Just too much bouncing around. I also noticed the app wouldn't update the correct status of lights and light groups for a very long time, likely what you're referring to. The other option is to use a Vera hub.

    If it can't get a response from the server the app does nothing with my command. On cellular and via Alexa, it's fast as always. Wink has it wrong IMO.

    Sorry for being so late to this party but I've been noticing this on my Wink app. It means I am hesitant to recommend the Wink to others, even though I would if it wasn't for this problem.

    So much better performance that things that were not possible become possible. I am on the same local network and I can see what their app is connecting to.

    1. Hit a light in HA, and the light responds a second later. I want to turn a light on, I open the app, it shows the spinning icon in the upper right, I click the icon to turn a light on, and seconds later it finally comes on.

    2. Since I can see the app connect directly to the hub over wifi but then switch to the API server, perhaps it's the local connect code that's just broken. Log in or sign up in seconds.
